Directions
Traveling from points north: The major access to the Outer Banks from northern points is via Interstates 95 and 64 to Norfolk, then US 168 and 158 from Norfolk to the Wright Memorial Bridge across the Currituck Sound. Traveling from points west and south: From Raleigh and points west, reach the Outer Banks via US 64 East, crossing the Pamlico Sound at Manteo and continue on US 158 to Duck. From points south, Interstate 95 intersects with US 64 at Rocky Mount, NC. Take US 64 East, crossing the Pamlico Sound at Manteo and continue on US 158 to Duck. (Duck is about 19.5 miles north of the intersection of US 64 and US 158.) Once on the Outer Banks: From US 158, take NC Highway 12 (north) to Duck. (Duck is about 5 miles north of the intersection of US 158 and NC 12.)
